A Comparative Analysis of Community Education Principles and Practice in the Classical and Contemporary Periods
Abstract

There are some lessons derived from the classical period which are beneficial to the contemporary period which includes reduction of poverty, illiteracy, tackling unemployment issues, violence, moral development and training for self-reliance in the society hence this paper highlights on the need to draw out lessons from the classical periods in addressing social-economic problems in contemporary periods.
