The paper examined the emotional impact of domestic violence among selected secondary school students in Egor Local Government, Edo State as there were reported incidences of thousands of children who encountered domestic violence. The descriptive research design was adopted for this paper. The population comprised of selected public secondary school students in the study area on account of incidences of domestic violence that are becoming rampant lately. A total of 180 students were selected through simple random sampling technique from classes JSS2-JSS3 of each school. The data were analysed using statistical package of the social science such as frequency counts and percentages for demographic variables while Chi-square was used for the research questions. The finding show that the computed Chi-square χ²c = 24.2978, the theoretical Chi-square at α= 0.05 level of significance and 1 degree of freedom is 3.841. Since χ²c > χ²t (24.2978 > 3.841). The result indicates that the computed Chisquare χ²c = 13.4444, the theoretical Chi-square at α= 0.05 level of significance and 1 degree of freedom is 3.841. Since χ²c > χ²t (13.4444 > 3.841). Finally, the result show from the test Statistics the table show that the computed Chi-square χ²c = 94.8, the theoretical Chi-square at α= 0.05 level of significance and 1 degree of freedom is 3.841. Since χ²c > χ²t (94.8 > 3.841). The study concludes that stakeholders should be aware of the emotional effects of domestic violence on secondary school children and such act should be criminalised and the perpetrators should be punished.
